Founded in 1886, Ewha Womans University is a private women’s university in Seoul and is widely regarded as the top women’s university in South Korea. It enrolls about 21,000 students, including roughly 16,000 undergraduates and 5,000 graduate students, and comprises 12 undergraduate colleges and multiple graduate schools. The university is noted for its strong emphasis on gender equality and has a historic campus in the Sinchon area of Seoul.
