Federal University of Technology Owerri

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) is a public university in Owerri, Nigeria, established in 1980. It is Nigeria's oldest university of technology and focuses on science, technology, and enterprise, aiming to transform the nation's economy from consumer-oriented to production-oriented through practical training and research. FUTO enrolls over 8,000 students across 58 undergraduate programs and occupies a landmass of over 10,000 acres, making it one of the largest institutions in Nigeria by landmass.
