Hochschule Düsseldorf (HSD), also known as Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, is a public university of applied sciences located in Düsseldorf, Germany. It was founded in 1971 and offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of engineering, business, computer science, design, and social sciences. HSD is known for its strong focus on practical and applied learning, as well as its close ties to industry. It is the second largest University of Applied Sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia, with more than 9,000 students.
