The Federal University Dutse (FUD) is one of the nine universities created by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2011. It is located in Dutse, Jigawa State, and has rapidly grown to offer a range of programmes including Medicine and Nursing. The university is recognized for its expanding academic community and its role in increasing higher‑education access in northern Nigeria.
