The Industrial and Mining Water Research Unit (IMWaRU) was a research entity based in the School of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. It was established in 2011 and merged into the Wits:H2O group. The University of the Witwatersrand is one of Africa’s most prestigious institutions, renowned for academic excellence and a century-long legacy in mining and industry.
