Ghana Institute of Languages

The Ghana Institute of Languages (GIL) is a tertiary institution established in 1961 by an Act of Parliament. It is dedicated to language learning and development, offering a range of programs from undergraduate degrees to short courses. GIL focuses on language acquisition, translation, and bilingual secretarial skills, with a vision to become a pre-eminent international center of learning. The institute is part of the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) and has multiple campuses across Ghana, including Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale.
