Tamale Technical University (TaTU), initially called Tamale Polytechnic, is located in the northern part of Ghana. Founded in 1951, it has evolved from a trades school to a public technical university. The university has approximately 7,000 students and is a member of several prestigious associations, including the Commonwealth Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa.
