University of Pretoria Faculty of Veterinary Science

The Faculty of Veterinary Science is a faculty of the University of Pretoria, founded in 1920, making it the second oldest veterinary faculty in Africa. It is the only veterinary faculty of its kind in South Africa and one of 33 across the continent. The faculty offers an undergraduate BVSc degree recognised by the South African Veterinary Council and several international bodies, as well as a veterinary nursing diploma and various postgraduate programmes.
