The Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig (HGB) is one of Germany’s oldest art schools, founded in 1764 and housed in a historic building constructed in 1896. It hosts four colleges specializing in fine arts, graphic design, photography, and new media art, with around 500 students. The academy is renowned for the Leipzig School and New Leipzig School movements and offers diploma and master’s programmes in various artistic disciplines.
