The Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, also known as Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin or HfM Berlin, is one of Germany’s leading public music conservatories. Founded in 1950 and located in Berlin, the school offers top-tier academic and artistic training in Western classical music and performing arts. It serves around 500 students from across the globe and is particularly noteworthy for its pioneering opera and musical theatre directing program, one of the first in Europe, launched in 1955.
