Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, founded in 1966, is a private, non-profit, co-educational higher education institution. Its main campus is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the Hato Rey ward, quite close to the Golden Mile area. The university is known for being the largest private Engineering School in Puerto Rico, offering a variety of programs in Engineering, Geomatic Sciences, Architecture, Computer Sciences, and Business Administration.
