The Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST) at Stellenbosch University was established on 1 January 1995 as an interdisciplinary research centre in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. It focuses on sociology of science, science policy issues, knowledge production, and the linkages between science and technology. CREST offers postgraduate academic programmes in Monitoring and Evaluation Studies and Science and Technology Studies.
