The Hochschule Mittweida, also known as the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida, is a public university located in Mittweida, Germany. Founded in 1867 as Technicum, it is the second-largest public university of applied sciences in Saxony. The university has a rich history and has evolved significantly over the years, including becoming an Engineering School in 1935 and gaining the right to award doctoral degrees in 1980.
