The Regensburg University of Applied Sciences, known as Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Bavaria. Founded in 1971, it has roots dating back to the mid-19th century and offers a wide range of programs across its eight faculties. The university was renamed to its current title in 2013 after successfully participating in a competition organized by the Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts.
