Yamagata Prefectural University of Health Sciences (YPUHS) is located in the northern part of Yamagata City, capital of Yamagata Prefecture. The university is situated near the Yamagata Prefectural Central Hospital, which includes several centers such as the center for preventing adult diseases, the emergency center, and the perinatal center. YPUHS has a total enrollment of 457 students, with 415 undergraduate students and 42 graduate students. The university has 55 full-time academic staff/faculty members.
