Template — Credit transfer request
Recognition of prior learning, or credit transfer, can exempt you from modules you have already passed elsewhere. You provide the evidence; the university decides.
Document contents
- The template, ready to fill in: replace each field in brackets
- A page of advice to adapt it to your situation
- Content and level: Credit is judged on content, level and workload, not titles.
- Ask early: Ask before you start, so you do not repeat a module.
- Exchange students: Your learning agreement should already cover recognition.
This document is for you if…
- You are already enrolled and have a request to make
- You are writing to your university or a lecturer
- You want a clear, polite and complete request first time
